I love how Damon’s angle in helping Stefan is a polar opposite to everyone else.  Their idea of ‘fixing’ Stefan is controlling/dictating who they think he is/has to be. Damon simply encourages Stefan to be stronger than all of that, and to accept every part of himself first, and foremost. In the end, Stefan didn’t need others to fix him, he needed that boost from his brother  ♥
